Love your work and your tutorials are fantastic but I have some questions. How do I get information on things like?: -Application used PS, Painter, Etc. -Original size (Not uploaded but actual) -Any add-ons used (filters etc.) -Brushes used (I struggle with brushes)
I have been painting in adobe PS CS2 and getting used to Wacom and this is taking time to translate traditional skills to a digital environment. One thing I was hoping to learn from this site is some of the technical aspects of painting digitally. I think I must be missing something I'm sure the information is here and I am just missing it.
Anyway love your art. Fantastic tutorials and I feel like I have learned a lot about process and planning.
WOW... this is great! How do you do it? Really what hardware to you use? I try to draw on the computer but it is hard to do with a mouse... Do you use one of those pen things on a tablet? Or is this just airbrushed and then scanned and edited in Photoshop?
I'm using several layers and folder for my paintings. It makes it possible to change things very fast. Normally my structure is:
- Hair (folder) -- several layers (depends on haircut etc.)
- Face (folder) -- Skin hair -- Skin pores small -- Skin pores big -- Shape
- Clothes (folder) -- several layers (depends on clothes)
- Body (folder) ...layers like in face-folder...
I'm using the smudge tool (for shape) very often, so I have to exclude the skin pores and and skin hair. Otherwise I would destroy my skin structure! Furthermore I'm using a lot of layers for background and light effects.
